Carlisle, Pa.- This morning the Penn State Harrisburg women's cross country team competed at the Dickinson Long Short Invitational against some of the top teams in the region. The women only ran the four kilometer race in hopes of training on being aggressive and running fast times in this challenging invitational. The women had some exciting additions to their squad this week in hopes to strengthen their lead pack and add depth to their team.
Freshman Ashley Peart (West Orange, NJ / West Orange High School) led the Lady Lions with an impressive time of 16:58. It is exciting to see the team coming together as a whole and working towards improving their performances each week. With the Conference Championships just a month away, they hope compete with strength and resilience against the challenging teams of the Capital Athletic Conference.
