The Penn State Harrisburg women's tennis team faced off against the top ranked team in the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Mary Washington on Friday April 3rd. The Eagles showed why they remain undefeated in conference and the 20th ranked team in the nation with a 9-0 win over the Lions.
The Eagles swept doubles competition setting the tone early. Harrisburg's top doubles pairing of Jessica Miller (Manheim, PA / Manheim Central) and Shawna Brandt (Jonestown, PA / Northern Lebanon) pushed back some claiming two games in their defeat.
Singles action was more of the same with four of the Lions six competitors being shut out 6-0. Despite the 9-0 win by the Eagles, the Lions fought the entire match and showed improvement as the match went on.
Penn State Harrisburg will next host Frostburg State on Saturday April 4th starting at noon.
