Harrisburg's freshman goalkeeper Daniella Marroquin earned her first collegiate shut out with the help of a hard fighting defensive effort on way to an exciting 1-0 win.
September 10, 2016 Lady Lions Showed Quality in 1-0 Loss to Susquehanna Middletown, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg women’s soccer team had a quality performance Saturday September 10th against the Susquehanna River Hawks. Unfortunately, despite a nice Harrisburg team effort and a second half full of chances, Susquehanna’s early 1-0 lead was enough to take home the lead.
September 7, 2016 Harrisburg Comes Up Short Against the Greyhounds Bethlehem, Pa.- The Penn State Harrisburg women’s soccer team faced a tough test this afternoon against non conference opponent Moravian. The Greyhounds had a strong first half, jumping out to an early 2-0 lead. The Lion’s were able to finish a free kick in the second half but Moravian held on to their first half lead, winning 3-1.
September 3, 2016 Lions Missing Scorer in 1-0 Loss to Hood Middletown, Pa. - It was a tough day for the Penn State Harrisburg women's soccer team. After starting the first half very strong and not giving up many chances throughout the day, one free kick was all the Hood College Blazer's needed as they hung on for a 1-0 win over the Lions.
September 1, 2016 Freshman Shine in Women’s Soccer Opener Doylestown, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg women’s soccer team opened their 2016 campaign on the road against the Delaware Valley Aggies. After going down in the final minute of the first half, the Lions battled back to even before claiming their first win of the year in exciting fashion with a game winner in double overtime.
August 29, 2016 2016 WOMEN'S SOCCER PRESEASON POLL & VIDEO YORK – With three straight regular season titles under its belt, Christopher Newport was again selected as the CAC women's soccer favorite entering the 2016 season. The Captains secured seven first-place votes and tallied 78 points to earn the top spot in a vote among the conference head coaches.

Athletes Of The Week

Keith Miller - GolfThe Penn State Harrisburg golf team hosted the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational last week at Dauphin Highlands Golf Club. Overall, the team placed first in the tournament with an overall score of 598. Junior Keith Miller placed first individually for the Lion’s and second overall in the tournament. Miller shot a 73 on day one and improved on day two with a 70. Miller finished the tournament 1 under par.
Allison Cooper - GolfLast week the Penn State Harrisburg golf team hosted their annual Penn State Harrisburg Invitational at Dauphin Highlands Golf Club. Newcomer Allison Cooper, the only female on the team, finished fourth for the Lion’s. Cooper shot a 76 on day one and a 78 on day two. Cooper finished the tournament tied for 22nd place. The Lion’s will travel to Christopher Newport this weekend for the Bay Creek Invitational.
