April 8, 2017 Offense Hard to Come by for Softball Team in Losses to Frostburg State MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – The Penn State Harrisburg Softball Team hosted conference rival Frostburg State on Saturday, but fell to the Bobcats in both sides of the twin bill. Of the 14 innings played, the Lions were only able to muster up one run total. As a result, the team falls to 2-8 in conference play, and sees their season-long losing streak grow to eight games.

April 1, 2017 Softball Team Drops Two on Road Against Mary Washington FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Penn State Harrisburg softball team traveled south to take on the Mary Washington Eagles in part one of their weekend road trip, but struggled to find the offense that had aggressively shown itself earlier in the week. March 27, 2017 Softball Team Steals Two from Elizabethtown College in Home Openers MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – After a multitude of postponements due to inclement weather over the past couple of weeks, the Penn State Harrisburg Softball team finally got to play meaningful ball on their home field for the first time all season on Monday afternoon. Already 12 games into their season, the team played host to the Elizabethtown College Blue Jays in an afternoon double-header. The Lions managed to capture wins in both sides, improving their record to 10-4 overall.
March 25, 2017 Penn State Harrisburg Softball Team Adds Two to Win Column Versus Southern Virginia BUENA VISTA, Va. – The Penn State Harrisburg Softball Team traveled to Southern Virginia on Saturday to take on the Knights in an afternoon double-header. After a dominating performance in game 1, the Lions kept enough of the momentum going in the second contest to complete the sweep. Here is how each game played out.

Athletes Of The Week

Trent Thomas - Men's BasketballTrent Thomas has been named Student-Athlete of the Week for January 10th. Trent averaged 12.0 points/game last week and added 11 rebounds in games versus Christopher Newport and Mary Washington. Trent has been an outside threat all season and continued his prowess by shooting 57 % from 3 point territory! The lions return home Saturday, January 13th for their annual Orange 4 Owen game against St. Mary's. Game time set for 3pm.
Tessa Dolce - Women's BasketballWomen's Basketball Tessa Dolce has been named Women's Student-Athlete of the Week. Tess has been a constant threat to opponents in all aspects of the game. During the last two games against Christopher Newport and Mary Washington, Tessa shot a near perfect 15-18 from the free throw line. She led the team in scoring both games with 27 points and added a big 14 rebounds. Women's Basketball is back in the Capital Union Building Saturday, January 13th for Orange 4 Owen against CAC opponent St. Mary's. Game set for 1pm.
