Two mainstays on Penn State Harrisburg’s softball squad, Amanda Pearson and Krystal Miranda, have capped impressive seasons by being named to the All-Penn State University Athletic Conference first team.
The women’s softball team, fresh from a convincing doubleheader sweep over visiting Penn State Abington, completes its season Sunday, April 29 when it travels to Penn State Fayette for a twin bill beginning at 1 p.m.

At Penn State Abington on Tuesday, April 3, the Lady Lions took the first game 6-3 behind an outstanding pitching performance by freshman Desiree Hipple (Elizabethtown). Hipple notched her first collegiate win, striking out two and scattering eight hits in the game. She received offensive support from senior outfielder Nicole Adams (Newport) who went two-for-three. In the second game, defensive woes contributed a 13-5 Harrisburg loss.
