January 17, 2017 White Leads Harrisburg at Spartan Invitational Over the weekend the Penn State Harrisburg men’s and women’s track and field teams participated in the 2017 Spartan Regional Invitational at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex. Both sides had several strong individual performances for their first meet of the new year.
December 4, 2016 Penn State Harrisburg Opens Season Selingsgrove, Pa.- Penn State Harrisburg traveled to Susquehanna University to compete in the Susquehanna River Hawk Opener. The Lions boosted several CAC and ECAC Qualifying times in their first meet of the year, as well as, setting several school records.
August 18, 2016 2015-2016 Top Ten Moments: #1 Cameron Yon Wins Bronze Medal and All Armerican Honors at NCAA Championships Claiming the top spot for 2015-2016 was no easy feet, but Cameron Yon won the honor unanimously with his incredible performance at the NCAA Track and Field Championships where he earned a bronze medal and an All-American Honor in the men's discuss.
August 15, 2016 2015-2016 Top Ten Moments: #2 Track and Field place three on All-Conference Team The Penn State Harrisburg men and women's track and field teams had three athletes earn All-Conference honors after dominating the competition at this year's Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championships. Ashley Williams led the women with her performance in the 100 meter hurdles, while Cameron yon dominated the men's discuss and Jalil Clayton took honors with his efforts in the men's high jump.
June 28, 2016 Penn State Harrisburg Announces 2015-2016 CAC All-Academic Team Middletown, Pa. - Penn State Harrisburg is pleased to announce the 2015-2016 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) All-Academic Team. The Lion athletic teams had 89 men and women earn the honor to be on the All-Academic team this year. To make the team, athletes must receive a 3.2 GPA over the course of the entire year.
May 26, 2016 Penn State Harrisburg’s Cameron Yon Wins Bronze Medal at NCAA Championships Waverly, Iowa - Penn State Harrisburg’s men’s track and field athlete Cameron Yon (Patuxent River, MD / Great Mills High School) has just established himself as an athlete that will be remembered through the test of time at Harrisburg. Not only did he qualify in the men's discus to participate in the NCAA Championships held in Waverly, Iowa at Wartburg College May 26th, he has now claimed the bronze medal with his longest toss of the day and his career at 53.19m.

Athletes Of The Week

Ashley Williams - Women's Track & FieldSophomore Ashley Williams was honored as the CAC Track Athlete of the Week after recording the eighth-best time in the nation in the 60-meter hurdles at the Bison Open at Bucknell. Williams finished third in the event and tops among Division III competitors with a time of 9.06 seconds. Her time ranks atop the CAC this season.
Derrick Young - Men's Track & FieldSophomore Derrick Young placed first overall in the men's 60-meter dash with an impressive time of 7.24 seconds. Young also placed first in the men's long jump with a distance of 6.47 meters and tied for eighth in the men's high jump. Young posted a second place finish in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 8.86 seconds and a fourth place finish in the men's heptathlon at Bison Open & Multi.
