Salisbury, Md.- The Penn State Harrisburg men's soccer team suffered another difficult loss this afternoon at Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) opponent Salisbury. The men fought hard for all ninety minutes but fell 3-0.
Salisbury scored its first goal of the game in the 41st minute of play. Harrisburg's back line was pressured heavily by the Sea Gull's offense before Tyler Andrus unleashed a shot that went past Harrisburg and into the net to give the home team a 1-0 lead. In the second half Salisbury was awarded a penalty kick but Brandon Hoover (Gap, Pa. / Pequea Valley) came up with a huge save to keep the game at 1-0. Salisbury went on to score two more goals in the second half. Hoover had eight big saves for the Nittany Lions.
Harrisburg will return to play on Wednesday October 14th. The Nittany Lions will host Wesley at home for a 4 pm kick off.
