Badecki Named Men's Golf Head Coach

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg has named Jason Badecki its new men's golf head coach.

"We are thrilled to welcome Jason Badecki as our head men's golf coach," said Penn State Harrisburg Director of Athletics Rahsaan Carlton. "He's had great success at a number of NCAA Division III institutions and he's sure to be a great fit for our program. Exciting times are ahead for Penn State Harrisburg golf."

Badecki takes the reins of the Penn State Harrisburg program after serving two years as head coach of both the men's and women's golf teams at Denison. While there, he led the Big Red to six tournament victories, while guiding four players to Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-America Scholar recognition and three more to Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar honors.

"I'm humbled and honored to be the next leader of the men's golf program at Penn State Harrisburg," said Badecki. "I'm very excited to build the program back up to where I know it can be and I believe we can compete for North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Championships every year. Rahsaan's leadership and vision for the department is strong and it's clear that he has the student-athletes' best interest in mind. I can't wait to get started."

Prior to taking over at Denison, Badecki spent four seasons as the head women's golf coach at Eastern, where he also served as head coach of the men's program for multiple campaigns. He led the women to a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances and Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Championships in 2014 and 2017. He was voted MAC Women's Golf Coach of the Year by his peers following both seasons. Under his leadership, six Eagles were named WGCA All-America Scholars, while 13 players earned all-conference accolades.

As a collegiate player, Badecki impressed during two seasons at Rutgers-Camden after transferring from Salem County Community College in 2010. As a Scarlet Raptor, he was twice named a NEAC Scholar-Athlete. After graduating, he served in an assistant coaching role for his alma mater.

Badecki earned his Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Eastern in 2016 after securing his Bachelor's of Science in Marketing from Rutgers University in 2012.
