March 5, 2017 Baseball Splits to Averett; Grab Second Win of the Year Danville, Va.- The Penn State Harrisburg baseball team split against Averett on Sunday March 5th. The Lion’s fell 9-3 in game one before dominating game two to grab their second win of the year 11-3.
March 4, 2017 Penn State Harrisburg Drops Double Header to Washington and Lee Lexington, VA.- The Penn State Harrisburg baseball team struggled on the road on Saturday March 4th at non-conference opponent Washington and Lee. The Lion’s dropped their first game 10-0 and fell in the second 10-6.
March 2, 2017 Baseball Team Falls to Dickinson in Frigid Home Opener Middletown, PA – Penn State Harrisburg’s Baseball team played their first home game on Thursday in what can only be described as “less-than-ideal” baseball weather. With temperatures in the 40’s and wind gusts of over 25 mph, players and fans alike stuck it out for nine innings of competitive ball.
March 1, 2017 Postponed Today’s baseball game against Messiah has been canceled due to weather. Both teams will try to reschedule the game but a date has not been announced.
February 26, 2017 Baseball Defeats Roanoke for First Win of 2017 Season Salem, Va.- The Penn State Harrisburg baseball team defeated Roanoke, 9-6, on Sunday February 26th for their first win of the 2017 season.

Athletes Of The Week

Amanda Hartman - SoftballAmanda Hartman - Hartman had an impressive week both at the plate and on the mound last week. In the four games played, she went a combined 5-14 (.357), hitting a triple, knocking in six runs, and scoring four of her own. She also started two of the contests, pitching a total of 9.0 innings, giving up only three earned runs (3.00 era) and striking out one.
Ethan Kell - BaseballEthan Kell - Kell had an impressive week for the Blue and White. In three contests, Kell combined to go 5-11 (.455) with one walk. In those at-bats, he managed to hit three doubles and a homerun, combining for seven runs batted in and two runs scored.
