LATHAM, N.Y. – Thanks to his historic effort over the weekend, Penn State Harrisburg baseball player Drew Harshbarger has been named the North Eastern Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.
Harshbarger turned in an unforgettable performance on Saturday afternoon when he became just the second pitcher in Penn State Harrisburg history to throw a no-hitter. The right hander allowed just three baserunners and struck out 11 batters during a victory over Wells in the opening game of a conference doubleheader. The McVeytown, Pa. native twice struck out the side during the win, including striking out the final three batters he faced in the top of the seventh to secure the program's first no-no since 2013.
The Lions return to action when they travel to Keystone for a non-conference doubleheader on Monday afternoon, April 5.
