LATHAM, N.Y. – The North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) began releasing its 2021 spring sports schedules this week, beginning with the conference's baseball and softball slates set to get underway later this month. Men's and women's tennis schedules will be announced on Friday.
In addition to Penn State Harrisburg's conference schedules, each program will have the opportunity to take part in a limited number of non-conference contests this spring.
With the health and safety of Penn State Harrisburg's student-athletes, coaches, and staff remaining of the utmost importance, all spring sports schedule dates, times, and opponents are subject to change.
Penn State Harrisburg baseball is set to open the 2021 campaign with a home doubleheader against Susquehanna. The River Hawks were an NCAA Tournament team in 2019 and will be a threat to win the Landmark Conference again this season.
The Lions also have a trio of highly-anticipated non-conference doubleheaders against nationally-ranked Shenandoah and Keystone next month. The Blue & White travel to Keystone on April 1 before hosting the Giants on April 20, while SU comes to town on April 14.
Penn State Harrisburg opens NEAC play with a doubleheader at Penn College on March 27. The program's first home conference doubleheader of the year comes against Wells on April 3. The Lions will get four cracks at the reigning conference champions from Penn State Abington this spring, on the road for a doubleheader on April 7 before a home twin bill on April 24. The Blue & White are set to wrap up the regular season at home against Lancaster Bible on April 28.
Penn State Harrisburg softball will open the 2021 season by hosting Penn State Altoona for a non-conference doubleheader on March 25. The non-conference tilt will serve as a tune-up for NEAC play beginning two days later.
The Blue & White open conference competition with a doubleheader on the road at Penn State Abington on March 27 before hosting their first NEAC doubleheader of the season against Lancaster Bible on April 9.
The Lions will spend the early portion of April playing twin bills on the road against the likes of Penn College, Morrisville State, Wells, and Lancaster Bible before hosting the defending conference champions from Penn State Berks on April 15. Penn State Harrisburg ends the regular season with three consecutive home doubleheaders against Penn State Abington, Penn College, and Morrisville State on April 24, April 29, and May 4, respectively.
