Harrisonburg, VA – The Penn State Harrisburg Baseball fell in its season opener at Eastern Mennonite University despite a great performance from starting catcher Tyler Aug. Aug started his 2018 campaign with a solo home run to left field in the second inning. He would add another solo blast in the sixth inning.

How it Happened:
Harrisburg got its season off with a bang when in the second inning Tyler Aug would hit a solo shot to left to give the Lions a 1-0 lead. The Royals would immediately answer back evening the game at one with a solo home run in the bottom half of the inning. Bret Williams would help the Lions recapture the lead driving a single to left field to score Jackson Struve. The Royals would score runs in the bottom of the fourth and fifth innings to take their first lead of the day. Aug had answer blasting another solo shot to left field in the sixth inning, tying the game 3-3. The Royals would string a couple of hits together in the sixth inning, scoring four runs and recapturing the lead. Freshman Chase Smith hit first career home run, smashing a ball over the center field fence in the seventh inning pulling the Lions within three runs. The Royals would add two more runs in the bottom of the seventh inning a hold for the victory.
