• Williams Earns ABCA Mid-Atlantic First Team All-Region and ECAC First Team Honors

    Harrisburg, PA- Bret Williams was named to the ABCA Mid-Atlantic All-Region First Team and was named to the All-ECAC First Team after a spectacular sophomore season. Williams led the Lions offensively batting .365 with 66 Hits including 10 Doubles, 4 Triples, and 14 Home Runs.
  • Williams and Torres Named To All-CAC Baseball Team

    Harrisburg, Pa- Penn State Harrisburg earned a pair of spots on the All-CAC Baseball team, with sophomore outfielder Bret Williams leading the way as a first-team selection. Williams was a second-team all-star as a freshman last spring. Junior shortstop Miguel Torres claimed second team honors for the Lions.

    Salisbury, MD. – The Penn State Harrisburg Baseball team could not overcome slow starts in both CAC Championship game series falling to Salisbury. After an outstanding regular and postseason, the Lions will now wait to see if they have earned an At-Large Bid into the NCAA Tournament.

    The Penn State Harrisburg men's baseball team hosted the nationally ranked Arcadia Knights on Wednesday May 9th in a contest that could have NCAA Tournament implications. After an amazing bottom of the nighth three inning comeback to even the game at 12, the Lions were unable to hold on and fell in eleventh to the #25 ranked Knights. Full recap coming soon....

    Harrisburg, PA. – The Penn State Harrisburg men’s baseball team faced off against the Arcadia Knights on Wednesday May 9th.  Both teams came into the game ranked in the region with Arcadia at the #5 spot, 25th nationally, and the Lions at #12 regionally.  The Knights recently won the MAC conference title and earned a spot in the NCAA tournament, but the Lions knew this game could have tournament implications.  Harrisburg could win the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) Championship this coming weekend at Salisbury, but if they fall this weekend today’s result could mean everything for their NCAA hopes.

  • Williams Name CAC Athlete Of The Week

    Penn State Harrisburg sophomore Bret Williams collected CAC Player of the Week accolades after hitting three home runs, driving in eight RBIs and scoring eight times in a 3-0 weekend that sent the Lions to the CAC Championship series. In three CAC Tournament games, Williams was 6-for-13 (.462) at the plate with three home runs, two doubles and three walks. For the week, he posted a .563 on-base percentage and a slugging percentage of 1.308.

    Winchester, VA. – Penn State Harrisburg Baseball dropped a non-conference match up against Shenandoah University. The Lions held the Hornets to just seven hits, but could not find enough offense to pick up the win.
  • Lions Beat Captains; Advance To CAC Championship Series

    Newport News, VA. – Penn State Harrisburg Baseball defeated Christopher Newport to win Pod B and earn a trip to the CAC Championship Series next weekend. The Lions took the lead in the fourth inning when Bret Williams launched a 3-Run Home Run over the center field fence. RBI Doubles from Alex Cline and Zachary Koroneos in the sixth and eighth inning extended the lead. Relief Pitcher Bobby Patterson came in the sixth inning and shut down the Captain’s offense allowing just three hits the rest of the way.
  • Lions Prepared For CAC Playoffs

    Harrisburg, PA- Penn State Harrisburg Baseball is set for a run in the CAC playoffs. The Lions earned the #3 Overall seed after going 28-10 Overall and 12-6 in CAC play this season. Thanks to the success the Lions are currently ranked 12th in the Mid-Atlantic Region. This is the first time the Lions have earned a regional ranking in the programs history.
  • Lions Down Captains, Knights In CAC Playoffs

    Newport News, VA. – Penn State Harrisburg Baseball won its first two CAC playoff matchups, knocking off Southern Virginia 12-11 and #5 ranked Christopher Newport 10-9. In game one against Southern Virginia the Lions scored 8 runs in the sixth innings thanks to four doubles from Bret Williams, Miguel Torres Chase Smith, and Ryan McSorely. The Lions bat would again carry them in game two where Williams would blast two solo home runs and drive in four RBI’s. The Lions will face Christopher Newport tomorrow needing to win one of two possible games to clinch a berth in the CAC Championship series.  
  • Lions Fall To Seagulls; Clinch #3 Seed In CAC Tournament

    Salisbury, Md. – Penn State Harrisburg Baseball got swept by Salisbury in the Lions final CAC regular season games of the season. The Lions fell behind early in both games and despite late rallies could not overcome those deficits. The Lions will enter the CAC Baseball Championship as the three seed, traveling to Christopher Newport for the first round of competition.
  • Lions Beat Falcons In Extra Innings

    Grantham, PA. – Penn State Harrisburg Baseball picked up a win over Messiah College, scoring two runs in the tenth inning. In the tenth, the Lions got a pinch hit single from Jackson Struve to take the lead. Miguel Torres would then reach on a field error scoring Struve, giving the Lions an insurance run that would be key as the Eagles did score one run in the bottom half of the inning.
  • Brubaker Delivers Walk-Off Single

    Harrisburg, PA. – Penn State Harrisburg Baseball team picked up a walk-off victory over Lebanon Valley thanks to an RBI single by Josh Brubaker in the bottom of the ninth inning. The Lions used home runs from Ryan McSorley and Alex Cline to rally from an early 5-1 deficit. The Lions picked up their 27th win of the season setting a school record for wins in a season and their first ever win over Lebanon Valley.

    Harrisburg, PA. – Penn State Harrisburg used a seven rally in the seventh inning to overpower Wesley College in CAC action. The Lions offense produced nine extra base hits from seven different players in route to the victory. Zachary Koroneos when 4-5 driving in 5 RBI’s for the Lions.

    Middletown Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg Baseball was already off to their best Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) season prior to the start of this weekend’s double-header at St. Mary’s and single game at York. The Lions went down 7-1 in game one against St. Mary’s on Saturday April 14th, but refused to quit and made a dramatic comeback to win 13-7. The impressive come from behind win helped Penn State to gain momentum they used through the rest of the weekend as they claimed two more additional conference wins.

  • Harrisburg Completes Season Sweep Of Marymount

    Arlington, Va. – Penn State Harrisburg Baseball continued its winning ways picking up its seventh CAC win and 21st win overall defeating Marymount 7-1. The Lions got a strong offense effort from Alex Cline who went 2-5 with 2 RBI’s and a double. Tyler Jackson pitched six innings holding the Saints to one run on four hits while striking out six.
  • Lions Sweep #21 Frostburg State

    Harrisburg, PA. – The Penn State Harrisburg Baseball team swept #21 Frostburg State in CAC action. The Lions, who picked up their 20th win of the season, scored 24 runs on 25 hits in the doubleheader. The Lions got a boost from Chase Smith and Bret Williams who both crushed home runs in game one. In game two, Miguel Torres drove in three runs in route to the victory.

    Harrisburg, PA. – Penn State Harrisburg Baseball team took advance of ten Mary Washington errors to pick up two shut out CAC victories. The Lions offense was led by Alex Cline who picked up five hits on the day. Starting pitchers Michael De Leon and Zach Gettys dominated the Eagles hitters, holding them scoreless while combined for 12 strikeouts.

    Dover, DE – The Penn State Harrisburg Men’s baseball team hit their first minor bump in the road on what has been a tremendous season to date. Harrisburg traveled to face off against the Wesley Wolverines on Thursday April 5th in their first game of a home and away series. For the first time this season, the Lions were shut out at the plate in the 6-0 Capital Athletic Conference (CAC) loss.

    Middletown Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg Baseball took on the Southern Virginia Knights on Saturday March 31st. After a dominating first game performance by the Lions, the Knights battled back to even the series with a 6-2 win in the second game.

    Harrisburg, PA. – The Penn State Harrisburg Baseball team used three home runs to power past Marymount in the teams CAC opener. Miguel Torres delivered a two-run home run in the first inning and Bret Williams add a three-run home run in the second inning building an early 9-0 lead. After Marymount pulled back within four runs, Ryan McSorley hit a three-run in the bottom of the eighth inning putting the game out of reach.

  • Lions Walk-Off Twice Against Bullets

    Middletown Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg Baseball picked up two walk-off victories over Gettysburg College while battling the rain and challenging field conditions. In game one, the Lions entered the bottom of the seventh inning trailing by two runs. Bret Williams led off the inning with a solo home run to left field. The Blue & White would then load the bases for Tyler Aug who delivered with a hard hit ball to the short stop, securing the victory. In game two, with the game tied at four in the bottom of the fifth inning and darkness rapidly approaching, Zachary Koroneos delivered a walk off homerun to center field.
  • More Changes Due To Winter Weather

    Harrisburg, Pa- Due to winter weather, Penn State Harrisburg Athletics has several changes to its springs sports schedule. Baseball has canceled its game at York College and Saturdays games with Frostburg State. Make ups are still to be determined. The Softball team has canceled its home double header for today March 22nd against Franklin & Marshall. A make up date is yet to be determined. Softball has also moved its home doubleheader against Wilson College from Saturday March 24th to Thursday March 29th. The Men's Golf Invitational at McDaniel College on March 24th and 25th has been canceled. Our Men's and Women's Tennis matches schedule for today March 22nd at Lancaster Bible are moved to Monday March 26th at 3pm. Please continue to check back for more updates on the schedule changes.

  • Williams and Daylight Steal Win from Berks

    Middletown Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg Baseball traveled to face off against Penn State Berks on Monday March 19th. In an offensive slugfest, both teams had no issues getting themselves on the scoreboard. Harrisburg’s Brett Williams had an impressive outing going 3-4 and stealing four times in the contest, which ended after the eighth inning due to daylight. Harrisburg claimed the win 17-12 after scoring eight runs in the final inning.
  • Lions Complete Ninth Inning Comeback

    Harrisburg, PA. – Penn State Harrisburg rallied in the ninth inning to pick up a 3-2 victory over Elizabethtown. The Lions were led by Miguel Torres who went 3-4 in the game including a triple in the ninth inning that tied the game at 2. Scott Angstadt Jr singled to right field driving in Ryan Kennington who scored the game winning run.
