More Than 30 Student-Athletes Awarded Degrees



MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – On Saturday afternoon, May 9, more than 30 Penn State Harrisburg student-athletes received degrees during the college's 2020 Spring Commencement. The university-wide ceremony video can be viewed in its entirety here.


Of the nearly 30 undergraduate degree recipients, three graduated with honors, including one summa cum laude and two cum laude, and three more graduated from honors programs. Student-athletes also earned six departmental and college awards.


Athletically, the class goes down as one of the most accomplished in Penn State Harrisburg history. Alex White (men's track & field) graduated as an all-region honoree, outstanding athlete of the year award winner and four-time conference champion, while seven student-athletes who earned degrees in Elizabeth Clippinger (women's soccer), Mackenzie Haladay (women's soccer), Madison Hemler (women's basketball, women's soccer), Alexis Imler (women's volleyball), Katelyn Kreider (women's volleyball), Kristen Stark (women's soccer) and Haley Vavrek (women's soccer) combined for nine all-conference honors.


Combined over the past four years, the class of 2020 earned two team conference championships, a pair of regular-season conference titles and 17 all-conference awards, with four individual or team NCAA Championship Tournament/Event appearances for Penn State Harrisburg programs.
